Transition to College
My transition from high school to college wasn't what I thought. It was very ruff on me and took up a lot of my time. I agree with Hjortshoj because trying to study and memorize every thing in one night also breaking it down to making it easier on myself like Edurado would've helped me out a lot. Besides alertness and flexibility there are lots of other skills you need to do good in college. Time management and study skills are two big ones you need to do good in college. Time management can help you decide when to do your home work and study for test. Study skills are also good so you can know if your studying the right material for that class and not studying something totally opposite.
Listening, reading, and writing connect because they are all something you need to have to be a good communicator. Those things help you be a good communicator because they apply to your senses. I think the role of the first year writing course in college is to tech you those skills and help you apply them to your writing.
